Alternate Universes
Acat
Acat is from a large family - all of his siblings have his shape and everyone of them loves bright colors. His far-ancestors were tattoo creators. Being the oldest, his patterns are noticed more than most of the others.
Ekehuel
Meet Ekehuel. He is beloved by respectable fighters and store owners alike. His shape, of course, comes from his father's parents. (They were the original shop creators.) His parents selected his patterns, being the oldest they expected him to be conservative. He chose his colors as an adolescent rebellion. By the time he regretted his choice it was too late. Now he has to work extra hard to be respected.
Gukumatz
Gukumatz is very outspoken. She communicates through her 'hair' endings and sounds like a hissing bird. She 'sees' through the ovals throughout her body and loves cyan and purple, much to her parent's distress.
Itzamna
Itzamna comes from a long line of teachers. Her parents, and she, love crafts and decoration, which may be because so much of their lives are devoted to 'serious' subjects. She loves to play and likes everyone - a very dangerous thing in her society.
Ahav
Ahav looks more like his maternal grandparents, but his patterns were chosen by his father without consulting anyone. Ahav chose his colors to annoy everyone.
Balam
Balam inherited his shape(s) from his grandparents - the patterns were chosen by his parents and the colors, of course are his own - chosen when he reached his majority.
AcataB
AcataB is the youngest in his large family and has had more freedom than his older siblings. He disdained the family businesses and sings for a living. Unfortunately, his vocal range can only be heard and understood in his own world which angers and frustrates him. He blames his parents for his shortcomings.
BaFaekehuella
BaFaekehuella is Ekehuel's oldest sister. She is less rigid than he is, but hides it with her outward appearance. She likes to cut loose on the dance floor and is always up for a good time, much to her grandparents dismay. She does not get along with her brother and avoids family gatherings where he will be present.
Ajta
Ajta is an only child so both sets of grandparents collaborated on her shape, they also strongly advised her parents in choosing her patterns. She decided to placate all members of her family when she chose her colors Ajta may look conservative, but in real life she isn't.
