Hurry up – you’ll miss the bus
Wait – no bus is waiting
Feed the meter – no bus in sight
Look at watch, look down the street,
Look at watch; look farther down the street,
Look at watch.
Here it comes, wave at it.
It’s full – doesn’t stop.
Blankety, blank, blank!
Couldn’t he see I’m not very big?
I could have fit.
Doesn’t he know my appointment is now?
Tap, tap, click, click, crunch.
If I could run, I would
Another bus. I’ll step in front of it
That way he’ll have to stop, or run me over.
“Thank you the last bus wouldn’t stop and I’m late”
Look at watch, watch as bus stops pass, look at watch
Get to hospital, only five minutes late.
Check in – “Didn’t we call you?
The doctor’s going to be an hour late.
Can we reschedule you for three weeks from today?
Same time and don’t keep the doctor waiting.
